Building the Next Generation

We’re not Godly babysitters. We are intentionally loving on our kiddos and helping them to understand what love is, who love is, what love feels like, looks like, and acts like. Our goal is to gradually teach our students to “ Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind” Matt 22:37

At this stage we focus on just loving the kids. We want to show these babies that their voices are heard even if there are no words. Leaders will pray for all babies during every class session. We will introduce the babies to prayer and worship. We want to teach them how to pray and what worship looks like.

At this stage we will begin to build upon the foundation of prayer and worship while introducing major bible characters, their stories, and memory verses. This will help our students to workout their recollection skills and become familiar with these characters, stories and verse as they get ready to head to UP!

At this stage we continue to build upon the spiritual disciplines of prayer and worship while laying the foundation for reading the bible. We will invite students to begin reading the bible with their parents and even on their own.  We also want to introduce them to hearing God’s voice. We want the students to know that God is always speaking and working; and if we pay attention we will hear from him and see where he is working so we can join Him. Students will also learn that their voice matters and that they are never too young to hear from or be used by God.

In RSM we will challenge our students to experience God on their own. Oftentimes middle school students are underestimated and undervalued but we will aim to change that by listening to them in order to understand and guide them to truth. We will continue to push students to develop a greater understanding of who they are in Christ and teach them what it truly means to find identity in Jesus.
